At Earle C. Clements Job Corps, Philip began an academic journey that culminated in receiving his doctorate in business administration. Now working for Lockheed Martin, Philip reflects on how Job Corps gave him the tools to invest in himself and succeed both academically and in his career.
“Job Corps reshaped my thought process and led me in the right direction,” Philip said. “I found my life start to correct itself as I invested in the people around me and relationships I had developed with people from a variety of different backgrounds. I really discovered myself through these connections.”
In his current position as a subcontractor administrator for Lockheed Martin, he negotiates and signs multi-million-dollar contracts with high-level clients.
“In 1999, I could have never envisioned the person I am today,” Philip said.
